Do we all agree?
We are living in extraordinary times, wouldn't you say? I heard a rumor last week that Los Angeles Harbor was closed, so I checked the Port's website today. It claims it is open and operating. And why wouldn't it? Who would want to be responsible for creating a panic? So, I assume this is how the public face of the website would appear, regardless of its operational status. Rumors were that some cargo carriers were suspect, consequently, there was a temporary closure for further investigation. True or not, it has given me pause to reflect.

With so much supply coming through this harbor, an interruption could have devastating nationwide effects. It is always recommended to keep an emergency supply of canned or dry food, goods, water, and other essentials on hand for at least 72-hours. However, we have learned this past pandemic year, it is wise to stock more, if possible, as the unforeseen could always generate additional issues.

Preparation instills confidence.
Being prepared eradicates fear and instills confidence. We can weather any storm when we have the tools needed to do so. So, while we are gathering more of the temporal necessities, it is important to re-ignite our spiritual fires, as well, which is just as important. A faith-based foundation is critical to riding out the unexpected because, no matter our situations, we know we are not alone. We have help from the Almighty to strengthen and guide us through these uncharted waters.

Lin Wood, famed defamation attorney, is also spiritually sagacious beyond his years. Regarding a discussion on the end times and spiritual preparedness, he offered advice on navigating these perilous times:
"My faith leads me to believe that our nation and the world are in the midst of a Second Harvest where we again know that God is real and many will come to follow Jesus Christ.
I also believe that we are in the midst of the Great Awakening where we realize that just as God is real, the devil is real.
I also believe that we are on the brink of The Great Reset where God flips the switch back in favor of We The People and not in favor of the one world government sought by the likes of George Soros, the Communists, and the Globalists.

(Here, I might insert an editorial comment: “... the end of the world, as we know it, with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, who will reign victoriously on earth for a thousand years!”)
“Could I be wrong and the others be right? Of course I could be wrong! Only God knows the future and only God knows His timing.
Does it matter who is right and who is wrong? Shouldn’t we prepare ourselves and live our lives in the exact same manner prepared for either scenario?
How does one prepare and live? Do your imperfect best to make sure that your life is always lived in a manner that pleases God. We ALL want to hear the words, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Well done.’
Pray for our country. Ask God to save us. My faith tells me He will as only He can save us.
’But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh.’” - Matthew 24:43-44
